Over 30 speakers are lined up for the conference, including leading developers, financiers, business leaders, government officials, innovators, and strategists, to dive into pressing issues shaping the fortunes of Egypt’s real estate sector.

First day discussions will focus on several key issues, including opportunity zones and urban logistics, the key steps being taken to invigorate the market and attract investors, and how middle-class buyers can be better served by a mature mortgage market and strategies for real estate exporting to appeal to overseas institutional investors.

The second day of the conference will see speakers discuss how Egypt can learn from emerging global practices when designing smart and resilient cities, why measuring happiness is important for developers and the government, the leveraging of technology to increase successful sustainability of new cities, the impact of tall buildings on urban environment, and the revitalisation of older cities through innovative design and technology.

The second day discussions at Cityscape will also feature talks focused on the technology that is disrupting the sector and Egypt’s preparedness for it.

Along with the huge new city being built as a new administrative capital, Egypt is planning many other major developments in the country, which could offer opportunities for British overseas property investors to get involved.
